people still ask about lights on e-readers?
-
These podcasts are just an excuse for the guy to buy all this new fancy technology. I should try that.
-
@aurbina07 no the thing about the kobo is that the screen dosent hurt your eyes so you might need a bit of light to see.

I loved my ereader until last week. Aug 17 i was having some battery issues so called again. We updated my software etc. Now all of my books are locked. The women was very friendly and tried to solve but was unable. Escalated to Teir 2. It is now Aug 26, no word, so I called again. They said i will just have to wait and nothing they can do. My Kobo is now a paperwieght. As my fellow book club readers are enjoying their ereaders I need to go buy the book again but this time in hard copy.

@ramasosa No, capitalism doesn’t kill. The Third-World is SCREAMING in favour of globalization, but spoiled suburban kids go demonstrate against it. We have even discovered that “Fair Trade” practices actually IMPOVERISH people compared to direct competitive bidding for prices. The very poorest coffee-producers are unable to front the money needed to certify their own coffee as “organic” and “fair trade”!
-
@Dracopol capitalism kills thousands of people everyday but you probably don’t know that because it only affects the people from third world countries. vietnam, irak, the whole african continent… the list goes on . I’m not trying to insult you or anything it’s just that capitalism also has its victims.

this devices seems really neat! ill buy it and try it out. thanks for the review!

Amazon releases cheaper ad-supported Kindle. For details, go to Facebook and search “ereader” to access the ereader community page for the latest news and offers.
-
SKKKEEEEN.. Kindle double the price of that!! 2:05 … Plus kindle has more battery power and DOES NOT slide around on ur lap…
-
@Dracopol Delete that book right out! “I’ve got 99 books, but the Commie ain’t one!”
-
@LLGoldstein I thought it was a good review, he answered all the questions I had. I don’t know why you need to see what the buttons look like.
-
What disturbs me is that, from the Chapters/Indigo book chain in Canada, “The Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels is included as the 100 Classic books pre-loaded. Communism has killed at least 130 million people so far. 10% of all Canadians are refugees from Communism or the descendents of refugees from Communism. Tell the Chapters / Indigo bookstore monopoly you are not interested in buying mandatory Communism with your e-book reader!

i know these e readers are good and all but i prefer the regular book pages because when i finish i can put them in my book shelf and it makes my look smart
-
@grahammwilliams I applaud your ability to keep a level head when dealing with youtube trash. Thank you for the review I am probably getting one of these soon.
-
@onelove4408 e-Ink doesn’t play like that. There is no back light in the screen. It uses the light in the room instead, so it actually gets easier to read the more light you put on it. If you bring it outside in broad daylight, you’ll have absolutely no problem reading at all. The screen is also matte, so it has almost no glare. It’s impossible to read in the dark, though.
-
do you know if you can read in the sunlight? or will the sun wash out the text making it impossible to read?

Valuable info. Lucky me I discovered your website unintentionally, and I am stunned why this twist of fate didn’t happened earlier! I bookmarked it.
Can’t watch this video because it lacks the sound on the right channel, pity.
